July 25 - 27, 2025
St. Ignatius Loyola recognized that the human person is created with a mind to think and a heart to feel, and that one is to use both to encounter and know God and thereby develop an authentic relationship with God. This retreat, drawn from The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, will offer an introduction to two Ignatian methods of prayer: Ignatian Meditation and Contemplation. Retreatants will receive an introduction and suggested prayer exercises, with Sacred Scripture, to develop an understanding of, and a familiarity with, these prayer methods.
Our retreat leader is Rev. Joseph Lingan, S.J. Fr. Lingan, SJ is the President of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC and is a member of the Gonzaga Jesuit Community.
The retreat begins Friday with arrival anytime between 4 - 6 p.m. There will be a welcome at 6:30, followed by dinner at 7:00. The retreat concludes Sunday after mass at 11:45 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:30.
